Lamp for Haiti is a 501c3 Montclair, NJ-based nonprofit operating a full-service medical facility in Cite Soleil, Haiti. Lamp for Haiti provides primary and life-saving quality healthcare to some of the most marginalized persons in Haitian society. Our key medical center is situated in Cite Soleil, one of the most impoverished communities in the western hemisphere. Each year, since 2006, in collaboration with local residents, and other Haitian professionals, the Lamp has provided low-cost quality healthcare to thousands of residents in need. Currently, Haiti is experiencing its most challenging time in history. Political turmoil, gang violence, and natural disasters have led to an extreme humanitarian crisis making it difficult for residents to access clean water, food, health care, and medicine. The services provided by Lamp for Haiti are needed now more than ever before. The support of our donors here in the United States and through various fundraising activities makes it possible for Lamp for Haiti to continue to its work.
