Year Eight, year Eight, and oh so great! We have made a few changes. We will be using a slightly changed course for the Half Marathoners in 2023, and we will also be moving the race a few weeks earlier to help with “the mud problem” We will also have a snow/ice date of February 26th if the park is closed due to unsafe roads or if the park decides that the trails are not safe for the athletes on the races January date.

We have seen every type of weather for this race over the years! It has been 85 degrees and bone dry and it has been 35 degrees, with extremely slippery trails and the river crossing uncrossable. Lean into it, have fun and just say WTF!

If you haven’t come out before, you are missing out on gorgeous trails, epic water crossings, hoodies, mega finisher’s medals, bumper stickers, fun prizes, great food, and beer! What better way to enjoy a mid-winter day? This will again be the first race in the Trivium Running Series and the Triad Trail Mega Medal Series.
