Rivanna Greenbelt - Marathon | Half Marathon
The Rivanna Greenbelt Marathon is officially certified by the USATF (VA14004TR) and a Boston Qualifier. The course is 6.5 "loops" of the fairly flat 4-mile out-and-back trail beginning at Riverview Park and following along the river on the Rivanna Greenbelt Trail. The Half Marathon is 3.25 "loops” of the 4-mile out-and-back trail. Water stops are located at the start/finish and 2-mile turnaround.
All runners receive official timing splits every 2 miles by Blue Ridge Timing, a uniquely handmade miniature Coney (our race mascot), and a soft tri-blend long-sleeve hoodie shirt. Race registrants will also receive FREE weekly training emails beginning July 24th which will include tips, articles, and motivation!
