The Petersburg Half Marathon & 5K features 13.1 & 3.1 miles of scenery! Petersburg is conveniently located in central Virginia with close proximity to Richmond! If you have seen the movie Lincoln starring Daniel Day-Lewis, then you have seen Petersburg... the movie was filmed there!

Our Half Marathon course was designed to capture the historical aspects of the city and the surrounding areas. The Start & Finish will take place in historic downtown Petersburg by the Union Train Station. Runners will make their way through the streets, lined with shops and Bed & Breakfasts before heading out towards the Petersburg National Battlefield; the site of battles in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

Now for the most unique aspect of this event... during your run you will be able to witness a battle re-enactment taking place! Actors will be using their muskets to create the sights and sounds of a battle!

Join us for a unique event that is sure to deliver lasting memories! Runners and Walkers of all abilities are welcome. In addition to the Half Marathon, we offer a 5K that is ideal for families to participate in!
