ABOUT THE COURSE ROUTES
Whether you are running to win or doing a fun, leisurely run or walk, you are sure to enjoy the beauty of the South Mountain, the Sierra Estrella Mountain ranges, Cesar Chavez Park, and Alvord Lake with its very own island.
The chip-timed 10K and 5K courses use a mixture of concrete and dirt trails with a couple of stretches across paved streets. Wind your way through Cesar Chavez Park and Montana Vista and experience desert trails and grassy areas.
The 1-Mile fun run (not timed) uses paved paths around Alvord Lake. The 10K and 5K also go around Alvord Lake. Course routes may vary slightly on race day and will be well marked to help keep you on track.
