Saints + Sinners Half Marathon
The course starts in Boulder city and promises 13.1 miles of saintly sights and devilish treats!
Whether you’re chasing a PR, looking for a scenic course, or want to experience a piece of American history by running through train tunnels dug during the construction of the hoover dam, the Saints and Sinners Half Marathon course has just what you’re looking for.
Run the half marathon yourself or team up with friends for a two or three person relay. However you run it, you’ll be glad you did.
The race is almost all downhill (average 2% grade, overall downhill with some incline after 3 miles – see elevation chart below) featuring beautiful views from the starting line to the finish at Lake Mead.
It is perfect for beginners, as well as those looking to best their time. The trail includes a series of five tunnels constructed in 1931 where runners can cool off in the shade as they experience a taste of history. Fun fact, these tunnels (a few hundred feet long) were once part of a railroad used to construct nearby Hoover Dam.
